Design Features:

  • Designed and Tested for the harshest operating conditions corresponding to the highest overvoltage risks.

  • The efficiency of an overlapped joint is dependent only on the ratio of the overlap to the thickness of the bars.
  • Aluminium expands at a greater rate than copper when exposed to an increase in temperature.
  • Provide ratings of similar to copper bars of comparable height.
  • Provide sufficient cross sectional area to cope with the heat generated at various fault levels.
  • Increase the mechanical strength compared to standard rectangular bars of the same area.

Use:

  • For Power Distribution.
  • For carrying electrical current, therefore recommended in switchboards, distribution equipment and systems where there are no space problems or where weight reduction is critical.
  • Designed to provide the interface between large cross section entering the panel including internal wiring connectors.
  • Used for junction between the enclosure and the external cables.
  • Used indoors to house bus bars for power distribution.
